The Hampta Pass trek is a breathtaking journey through one of Himachal Pradesh’s most
diverse landscapes. It connects the lush greenery of Kullu Valley with the rugged, barren
terrain of Spiti Valley, offering trekkers a unique contrast of scenery. The route includes river
crossings, alpine meadows, glaciers, and panoramic mountain views. The highlight of the
trek is crossing the Hampta Pass (4,270m), which provides stunning vistas of the Pir Panjal
and Spiti ranges.
Best Time to Visit
Ideal Season: Mid-June to September
Why? This period offers clear trails, lush green landscapes, and favorable weather
conditions. Late-season trekkers may also experience fresh snowfall, adding to the

Day 1: Manali (2,050m) to Jobra (2,900m) – Trek to Chika (3,100m)

Day 2: Chika to Balu Ka Ghera (3,600m)
