Dharansi Pass
The Dharansi Pass Trek is a scenic trekking route located in the Uttarakhand region of India. It is a popular trek that takes you through breathtaking landscapes, dense forests, meadows, and offers stunning views of the snow-capped Himalayan peaks.
The trek usually starts from the village of Dhak, which is accessible from Joshimath. From there, you will trek through picturesque villages like Tolma and Bendi, immersing yourself in the local culture and traditions.
The trail continues through alpine meadows and rhododendron forests, providing opportunities to spot diverse flora and fauna. As you ascend, you will eventually reach Dharansi Pass, standing at an elevation of around 4,300 meters (14,107 feet). The pass rewards trekkers with mesmerizing panoramic views of Nanda Devi, Hathi Parvat, Ghori Parvat, and other peaks.
The trek usually takes around 6-7 days to complete and is of moderate difficulty. It is recommended for trekkers with some prior experience and a good level of fitness. The best time to embark on the Dharansi Pass Trek is during the summer months of May to June and the post-monsoon season of September to October.
