Welcome to worlds happiest country Bhutan. Visit Paro & Thimpu Valley.Taktsang monastery is one of the most venerated places of pligrimage in the Himalayan region. The legend behind the Tiger’s Nest monastery is just as amazing and magical. Its high on a cliff about 3200 meters above the sea level.Paro is a valley town in Bhutan, west of the capital, Thimphu. It is the site of the country’s only international airport and is also known for the many sacred sites in the area. North of town, the Taktsang Palphug (Tiger’s Nest) monastery clings to cliffs above the forested Paro Valley. Northwest of here are the remains of a defensive fortress, Drukgyel Dzong, dating from the 17th century.


  Itinerary

  •  Day 01: Fly into Paro by Drukair flight or Bhutan Airlines. After immigration and customs formalities, you will be received by our representative. Check into your respective hotel, get some refreshments. Getting everthing settled in the hotel and making a plan for trip.

  •  Day 02: On the second day sight seeing of Paro valley, visiting Paro museum and Paro Dzong. On the same day sight seeing the Drugyel valley and Jhomolhari Mountain and visiting Ruins of Drugyel Dzong which is under construction.

  •  Day 03: From the morning hike, up to the legendary Taktsang Monastary (Tiger’s Nest) with horse riding/Trek. Distance: 4 miles round trip,Time: Allow 5 to 7 hours for the entire visit. Children enjoy this small Trek. The name Taktsang translates to “The Tiger’s Nest”. This temple is one of the most holy sites in the kingdom and clings impossibly to a sheer cliff face 900 hundred meters above the Paro Valley and visit Kichhu Lhakhang and Dumtse Lhakhang Temples located at a few miles from the Paro town. Then drive to Capital (Thimphu) which is one hour ride 50km from Paro

  •  Day 04: Sight seeing Thimphu valley, go to weekend Centenary Vegetable market and visiting the statue of Buddha Dordenma in Kuensel Phodrang overlooking Thimphu city, about 100 metres (330 ft) above the Wang Chuu river bed. This location was the palace of Sherab Wangchuck, the 13th Desi Druk. The statue will house over one lakh (one hundred thousand) smaller Buddha statues, each of which, like the Buddha Dordenma itself, will be made of bronze and gilded in gold. Upon completion, it will be one of the largest Buddha rupas in the world, at a height of 51.5 metres (169 ft)

  •  Day 05: Visiting Chari and Tango Monastry or Phajoding Goemba (3640m) which is located at the Northern part of Thimphu valley with 5 km of trek, 3Hr time. If you are interested in arts and handicrafts of BHUTAN visit National Textile Museum and National Institute for Zorig Chuzum (13 varieties of arts and crafts). Then in the mid afternoon, after having lunch, drive back to Paro to catch next day’s flight.
